Homemade Gumdrops (make them in any color!)

These won’t end up in the classic little domed gumdrop shape (unless you have a bunch of candy molds and more patience than we can muster), but they’ll have the same chew, the same bright colors (standard grocery-store food coloring works great), and the same fruit flavors as those old-timey favorites.
