Homemade Secret Santa

Secret Santa doesn’t have to be code for pulling out a half-baked re-gift—especially if you’ve already committed to one-size-fits-most batches of handmade gifts. If you’re in search of an idea, try one of these:

Holiday-Tree-Shirt-finish-3-generation-t-com1. Clothe them in a seasonally appropriate t-shirt. Give an ironic nod to the holiday sweater with this punk-rock shredded “Tree Tee.”

Get the instructions here.
Peppermint Chocolate Bark2. Surprise them with a sophisticated version of candy canes. Who doesn’t love homemade candy? (A word of warning: This Chocolate Peppermint Bark from Brooklyn’s adorably homegrown candy shop Liddabit Sweets is addictive.)

3. Offer them a bottle of spiced rum. For a higher-end (and grown-ups only) Secret Santa pool in the $30 range, this elegant liqueur will put all of the other Santas to shame.

Get the easy instructions here.
Put 'em Up Jars
4. Impress them with a jar of spiced apple chutney. An edible seasonal gift that’s sophisticated and easy to make. Find it here.

Penguin Snow Day Project
5. Take them on a trip to Winter Wonderland. Create your own snow day with this adorable penguin trio using Polyform clay products!
