Black Velvet
Sometimes a perfect pint can be mad even better.
Put the black and tan to shame. This beauty first appeared in London in the 1860s and will help you extend the life of any bottle of Champagne—especially helpful if you’re hosting friends/freeloaders.
One 12-ounce can or bottle of Guinness
One bottle of Champagne (or a sparkling wine if you don’t feel like splurging)
A Champagne flute
A spoon
HOW YOU MAKE IT:
1. Fill your glass halfway with Champagne.
2. Slowly pour the Guinness over the back of a spoon on top of the Champagne (adding the Guinness last will create a very visually cool layering effect). That’s literally it.
